Apartment for the family with doughter, 240 m squared
The apartment is located in the center of Moscow, in a modern oasis surrounded by historic buildings with a cozy inner yard. The interior resonates with the exterior: the apartment overlooks both historic and modern buildings, and its style is a combination of modern and classic style as well.
The owners could not decide on the style, they chose between classic and modern ones. We have created a compromise design, and also added unusual design features, such as, for example, internal shutters with rotating lamellas. Such shutters allow hiding private life from prying eyes, while letting in natural light.

"We spent a lot of time looking for interesting artworks for this interior," Vedran Brkic says. "Eventually we chose a wonderful painting by Kirill Chelushin named "Scream" from a private collection. The owners fell in love with it, and so did we. We selected one more interesting painting and hanged it in the dining room. "#22" is created by Viktoria Shumskaya and is part of the "Fading archive" project, POP/OFF/ART gallery

In the common area of the kitchen-dining room we have created a light, open, and relaxing atmosphere. Expressively-styled kitchen is the visual dominant of the apartment.

It was essential for the apartment owners to have a large, aesthetic and fuctional kitchen, - recalls Diana Todorovich. - To reach that goal, we chose a professional-level kitchen from Archlinea. A three-meters long island that complements the funcionality of the kitchen was created by one of top designers - Antonio Citterio. There is a semi-bar area made of quartz where you can keep your snacks. Quartz - is an artificial stone, which is ideal for kitchens, since it is impermeable and cannot be scratched.

The entrance hall is separated from the dining room by a spacious wardrobe with mirrored doors. On the opposite side, there is another wardrobe disguised as walls. This wardrobe is also the entrance to the laundry and utility room. Behind an almost invisible door (it is built flush into the wall paneling) there is a guest bathroom. The walls and floors are finished with glossy ceramic granite under calacatta marble, matte textured tiles are used in the niches, creating contrast and a play of textures. Behind the cosmic mirroris is hidden a locker for cosmetics.

The main idea was to divide the space into a common and private parts.
The private area consists of bedrooms with bathrooms and the owner's office. The last one is decorated in the same style with the public area of the apartment: a lot of white, wood veneer, intelligent stucco decor. If necessary, it can play the role of a guest, so a small Meridiani folding sofa was put here and a wardrobe was installed.

There are three doors in the master bedroom. One is the entrance to the room, the second is the entrance to the bathroom, hidden behind wooden wall panels. On the other side of the bed is the door to the dressing room disguised as a mirror. The room turned out to be beautiful, cozy and atmospheric – it contains all the same American walnut and stucco used in the interior of the entire apartment. The architects also added a cozy element – a protruding illuminated panel behind the Minotti bed, decorated with wallpaper with a voluminous texture.
